Question a Day: Photos for a 5 Week Old?

Q: Hi! I have a five week old! Any advice on how to get good pictures at this age?

Thanks,

Debbie

A: Debbie. I’m so sorry this was stuck at the bottom of a long-lost queue! Your five week old is undoubtedly *not* anymore, but here’s the dish:

Up until they’re rolling over constantly or sitting up on their own, my favourite shots are two fold: aerial and detail.

An oldie, but a favourite. Aerials allow you to really get close and personal, with shots full of life and love and brilliant expression. You can get closer, or zoom back or get up above for a wider shot; have fun with it! But make sure the camera is securely strapped around your wrist and neck and that you’re standing on a stable item!

They’re only getting bigger, so take the time to document all the tiny parts. These make great fillers in baby albums and help switch it up when baby is just lazing about.

Ha. Babies. What a life…

Hope that helps! Have fun!

Tamara
